Software Buyer FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) |
When you have found the coder you want,
you can accept their bid and begin working together. You will then be asked to authorize a credit card charge, PayPal charge, or snail-mail check payment to move the funds to escrow. For your protection, these funds are NOT paid directly to the coder. Instead, they are held in an escrow account until you authorize their release by accepting all (or a percentage) of the final work (see "Receive and Approve Work"). If there are problems at any time, you can contact a facilitator to work out difficulties. Or if you do not get 100% of what you asked for, you can initiate an arbitration for a full or partial refund (Simply click on the 'contact arbitrator' link from your buyer control panel).
Please note that if you are new to the site, you may have to complete a
security verification before the
coder can start work. This is to protect all parties and keep the site a
safe marketplace in which to do business. If you are in time-constrained
situation with a tight deadline, we highly advise you to
pre-verify BEFORE you choose
your coder. This will enable you to avoid any delay caused by the
verification process. Once you finish escrowing funds, you'll receive a confirmation receipt and the coder will be notified simultaneously to begin work. Additionally, both you and the coder will be given each other's direct email address. However, we HIGHLY recommend that you refrain from directly emailing the coder, and instead continue communicating through the site. There is more information on this in the next section: "Work is Done By Coder" |
